QCPS Organizes Workshop on Experiment of Federation of Business Associations


Al Quds Center for Political Studies (QCPS) organised a workshop on the experiment of the Federation of Business Associations (FBA), currently under establishment.
Thirty participants took part in the workshop, titled "a Reading of the Work and Experiment of the FBA," which examined the federation's challenges and achievements.
At the workshop, the participants elected a new seven-member FBA Executive Board headed by Mr. Khalil Hajj Tawfiq, president of the General Association for Foodstuffs Merchants, and reviewed 2017-2019 strategy and priorities.
President of the outgoing Executive Board, Dr. Jihad Al Maani, who heads the Association of Medical and Lab Equipment Suppliers, presented a report on key activities of the board and steps taken to register the FBA at the Ministry of Labor.

The workshop, managed by QCPS Director Mr. Oraib Al Rantawi, the approved FBA's strategy and priorities, mainly: Building awareness of the significance of the FBA; creating an effective communication plan to convey FBA messages and clarify its goals; rallying support for the FBA; expanding FBA membership base; developing capacity and skills of FBA members, particularly in communication; and forming interim committees to address key challenges and issues.
