Welcoming remarks, introduction to and familiarization with the training program, discussion of participants’ expectations

10:30 – 12:30 First Session

Skills of public speaking through the media
Identifying the issue
Analysing the issue with reference to the political party
Formulating the message
Persuasion and strengths in delivering the message to the audience
Identifying the target outlet
Publishing the message through the media

12:30 – 2:00 Break for Prayer, Lunch and Room Check-In 

2:00 – 4:00 Second Session:

Putting it into Practice
A review of the topics that participants may wish to talk about on their social media pages
Each trainee will be tasked with drafting a message on an issue of their choosing 

4:00 – 4:30 Coffee Break 

4:30 – 6:30 Third Session

Skills of standing in front of cameras, delivering one’s message, and addressing the audience
Body language
Interacting with the camera confidently
Presence through the tone of voice
Summarising and making use of the time
Avoiding agitation and aggression

Day Two: Saturday August 6, 2022

10:00 – 12:00 Fourth Session

Presentations by the participants of their filmed media messages (videos) and evaluation by the trainers
